The 2019 update gave the R3 a restyled fairing and screen, a lower handlebar position, LED headlight and LCD dash, plus a new 37 mm inverted fork and Dunlop Sportmax tyres. Yamaha claimed a small top-speed gain from the improved aerodynamics. The engine itself stayed the same.
